Diplomates Meeting C-cert Requirements to Receive New Certificates
Update Your Diplomate Mailing Information Now
Diplomates who have met the 2019 and 2020 C-cert requirements will have a certification status of "Certified - Meeting Requirements" and will receive new certificates in early March reflecting no expiration of certification contingent on meeting the annual C-cert requirements. Certificates will be mailed to the "preferred" address indicated on their diplomate profile. which can be viewed by logging into www.ucns.org and clicking on "Hi, <Your Name>" towards the top right. Diplomates who have not met the 2019 transitional requirements and/or the 2020 C-cert requirements will have have a status of "Certified - Not Meeting Requirements," but still have an opportunity to "Meet Requirements" and their new certificates will be issued after the 2020 requirements are met.

Diplomates are asked to sign into their online profile to confirm their preferred contact information and mailing information by February 28th to ensure information is current for delivery of their certificates.
2021 C-cert Subspecialty Journal Articles Now Available
The 2021 subspecialty C-cert reading lists are now available on the UCNS website. Diplomates may begin reading the articles and the the 2021 C-cert quizzes will be available in April. Diplomates will be notified when quizzes are available along with instructions on how to access their subspecialty quiz.

Thank you to the many diplomates who submitted articles for consideration on their subspecialty reading list and to the subspecialty examination committee members for their thoughtful review and selection of the 2021 C-cert articles.
UCNS Welcomes New C-cert Manager

The UCNS is pleased to welcome Bryan Hagerla as the new Continuous Certification (C-cert) Manager effective January 14th. Bryan comes to the UCNS from the Society of Critical Care Medicine. In his new role, he is responsible for the development and administration of all facets of the UCNS C-cert program and is the new liaison for UCNS diplomates and to subspecialty exam committees working on the annual C-cert development. Todd Bulson, Senior Manager Certification, will now work exclusively on certification examination development and administration and as the staff liaison to certification examination applicants and the Certification Council. The UCNS now has a total of five full time employees.
