UCPS provides an update on remote learning
Beginning the week of April 20, UCPS will transition into phase four of the Remote Learning Plan. During this week, new learning of new standards will begin for all students.

The work will be optional. However, students are encouraged to stay engaged and participate in learning opportunities.
Board of Education approves changes to graduation requirements
During the April 7 Union County Board of Education meeting, board members approved changes to graduation requirements for the UCPS Senior Class of 2020. The changes, which were adopted because of COVID-19 and the associated March 16 – May 15 school closure, align with the amended graduation plan approved by the NC Board of Education on March 27.
UNC-TV offers remote learning programming
Check this out: Educational programming will now be available Monday through Friday on UNC-TV, thanks to a partnership between the NC Department of Public Instruction and UNC-TV!

From 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. each weekday, free over-the-air content will be available for students in fourth through 12 grades via UNC-TV's North Carolina Channel . Click the link below to learn more and view the weekly programming schedule.

The EmpowerED Family Portal not only offers more than 60 digital resources and texts, but also includes links to a number of optional extended learning opportunities for students across all grade levels.

On the website, you can also find additional information about the district's remote learning plan, remote learning guidelines, frequently asked questions about remote learning, tutorial videos, supplementary resources and more.
