UCPS Influencers
Drumroll, please...Health Sciences Academy at Monroe Middle teacher Ashley Rossman and Forest Hills High Instructional Assistant Marcus Clyburn are the UCPS Influencers for January 2020!

Last month, we launched the UCPS Influencers employee recognition program to celebrate the passion and dedication of our employees who go above and beyond to positively impact the lives of others.

Nominations poured in from parents, students, employees and community members -- all of whom wanted to shine a spotlight on the outstanding work of our staff members.

A cross-departmental panel reviewed the nominations and selected Ashley Rossman and Marcus Clyburn to be featured on the UCPS Influencers website, UCPS social media pages and recognized by the Board of Education at their Jan. 9 meeting!

Keep scrolling to read excerpts from the nominations and click the links below to read the full nomination.

Two new UCPS Influencers will be selected each month, so don't forget to visit to nominate a UCPS employee today!
Ashley Rossman
"When my son experienced academic difficulties and began to lose confidence, Mrs. Rossman stepped in and offered to tutor him in math.

When she began to work with my son, her dedication and influence exceeded the limits. She raised my son’s academic abilities like no one had ever done."
Marcus Clyburn
"Mr. Clyburn is one of my teachers. He is hard on me at times but I know that’s because he cares. Mr. Clyburn wants me to do well not only in school but also in life.

He is a positive role model in my life and I want to thank him for all he has done for me. I know that no matter what, he will be there to help me through anything."
