Each month in this Coding Corner you will find a tip about coding.

Should I be adding Modifier 25?

Add Modifier 25 when billing for 2 separate services during an ambulatory visit, eg billing for an E/M service plus a procedure or billing for a preventative health visit + a procedure.
Modifier 25 must be added to the E/M service.
