UCSF Neuro-Oncology Gordon Murray Caregiver Program
Spring Newsletter
Greetings Caregivers,

May is recognized as Brain Tumor Awareness Month as well as Mental Health Awareness Month, reminding us to support and empower not only patients, but all family members and friends who may be affected by the illness.

We want to remind you that you are not alone and encourage you to explore educational resources and support options available to you as caregivers. As always, please feel free to reach out to our program team if you have any questions or feel you could benefit from additional resources.

Support Options
UCSF Neuro-Oncology Caregiver Support Group
Monthly on the 2nd Wednesday (6:30-8:00pm) via Zoom

Our caregiver-only support group is an emotional support group facilitated by our neuro-oncology social worker and allows caregivers to focus on their own experience. Open to caregivers of UCSF brain tumor patients.
Also available is our patient & caregiver support group, open to all brain tumor patients and family members.
On your own schedule

Our peer support program matches a current caregiver of a brain tumor patient with a former caregiver volunteer who can provide emotional and practical support as needed.
Caregivers are matched as best as possible on age, diagnosis, family situation and more.
