Integrated Bio-behavioral Survey in Kenya

UCSF, in partnership with Global Programs Kenya, is working with Kenya's Ministry of Health, specifically the National AIDS & STI Control Program and the National Public Health Laboratory, to launch an integrated bio-behavioral survey targeting key populations across nine counties. This project is financially supported by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The active involvement of both the key population community and the county governments has established an effective process for implementing the survey. More information will be shared as the project progresses.

Launch of the Weekly Performance Tracking Dashboard

Global Programs Tanzania, in collaboration with CDC-Tanzania's Strategic Information team, launched the Weekly Performance Tracking Dashboard. This innovative tool enhances the CTC-Analytics application, providing weekly updates on key HIV/AIDS process indicators at the facility level. Designed for user-friendliness, the dashboard will empower facility staff to take action when clients fall out of care, leading to improved service delivery and client outcomes. Launched on February 22, 2024, with key stakeholders, including CDC-Tanzania and PEPFAR Implementing Partners, the dashboard will be pivotal in enabling near real-time assessment of client HIV care and treatment trajectories and facilitating prompt interventions to enhance client outcomes.

Launch of Version 1.3.0 of Lab Visual

Over the past three months, GP Tanzania successfully launched Version 1.3.0 of Lab Visual in all Tille Lab System-equipped laboratories as part of Lab Visual Phase II. This update introduces new features aimed at enhancing data utilization and improving laboratory indicator performance. The Iterative Dashboard feature enables users to select between HVL or EID reports, view sample statuses and results, and analyze turnaround time trends with customizable date ranges. Reports now offer greater flexibility in generating HVL and EID summaries for various time intervals, with added Sample Tracking capabilities for detailed monitoring. Orientation sessions have been conducted for staff from NIMR PCR Lab and Bukoba RRH, with positive feedback emphasizing the usefulness of the Sample Tracking Report in identifying and addressing sample issues. These updates signify significant progress in enhancing the functionality and usability of the Lab Visual Application, thereby improving data management and decision-making processes in laboratory settings.
