What do you do at UD?
I am an academic support professor with UD's Online LL.M. Program. In that capacity, I am available to help students understand and apply challenging legal concepts. In addition to providing additional feedback and written materials to the students, I have created opportunities for them to hone their advocacy skills at mock trials and in online discussion forums. Even students who are not struggling academically are invited to reach out to discuss the practice of law, work-life balance, time management, bar prep, Legal English, and any other matters of interest or concern.
What’s your favorite part of working at UD?
While not much of an athlete, I love being part of a team. At UD I am part of a team that is singularly focused on running the best possible program for its students. Problems are tackled, not avoided. New ideas are welcomed, not discouraged. And every decision is carefully made to serve the best interests of the students.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to enter the field of law?
If you were thinking of entering the field of law, I would advise you to speak to a cross-section of lawyers. Once you start law school, you can easily get caught up in your studies and job hunting—it's difficult to step back and appreciate the breadth of the legal profession. I think there's a benefit to getting the lay of the land before embarking on a legal career.
What are 3 words to describe UD’s Online LL.M. Program?

Tell us something about yourself that would surprise us.
I'm a Phish Head ... as in I enjoy seeing the band Phish in concert (even though my husband and I could be grandparents to our fellow concertgoers).
