UEDA's 2025 Annual Gathering was held Tuesday, September 9th. We gathered over 80 members and partners for an evening of food, connection, and celebration of this year's work at UEDA!


Take Root Milwaukee: Lender Member Information Exchange on Thursday, September 25th - we brought together 11 lender members to present on their products and services. With over 45 attendees present, a big thank you to all involved for this opportunity to network and connect in community.


Bank On Greater Milwaukee: 6th Anniversary and Coalition Meeting, held on Thursday, September 25th. A total of 17 Coalition members reflected on 6 years of impact through BOGM and took advantage of this gathering to network and engage in strategic action planning for 2026. The BOGM team was proud to present the Community Reintegration Center (CRC) with the recognition of our 2025 Community Connector Champion.

UEDA Member Highlights

Menomonee Valley Partners September 30th, 8-9AM MVP will host a discussion about transportation and infrastructure projects around the Menomonee Valley. Though not required, feel free to RSVP and join them to learn about important changes coming to that area.


Sherman Park Association Saturday, October 4th, 10:30AM-4PM SPCA will present the First Annual Community Connections for Seniors, an event created to honor older adults and connect them with local resources, wellness activities and opportunities for social engagement. Milwaukee Financial Empowerment Center: Budgeting 101 Wednesday, October 8th, 2PM Understand the value of creating a budget, and learn strategies to build a simple budget and pay off debt. A Financial Literacy series in partnership with Riverworks, PNC Bank and City of Milwaukee. Check out the full series here.

Acts Housing "Neighborhood Table 2025!"

Acts Housing held its annual celebration event on September 10th at Discovery World. This is their signature event to celebrate their impact with alumni, community partners, etc. Congratulations on raising a massive $438K! Read more about it.


Revitalize Milwaukee "Restoring hope: coming together after the flood"

After recent major flooding, RM emphasized their continued work on critical home repairs for low‑income homeowners. They held a community event called “Home Sweet Home” on Sept 11 to bring people together and highlight those efforts!


WEDC and Gov. Tony Evers

Announced a $42 million investment by Milwaukee Tool in a Menomonee Falls facility, expected to create 300 high-skill jobs.


Save with IRA Home Energy Grants Citizen Action of Wisconsin is helping homeowners access up to $10,000 in Inflation Reduction Act grants for energy-saving upgrades like insulation, heat pumps, and efficient appliances. To schedule a presentation, email kat.klawes@citizenactionwi.org. 



Is Milwaukee Ready for National Avenue Disruption? A multi-year reconstruction of National Avenue is set to start next year, raising concerns about the impact on small businesses. City officials and neighborhood groups are working on funding and strategies to keep them afloat. Read more.

SBA Disaster Loans Available for Wisconsin residents, businesses, and nonprofits impacted by the August 9–12 storms can apply for federal SBA disaster loans to repair, rebuild, and recover. Deadlines: Nov. 10, 2025 for Home & Business Physical Loans and June 11, 2026 for Economic Injury Loans. Apply at online or call 1-800-659-2955.

UEDA is happy to welcome new member Cream City South Community Development Corporation, a non-profit organization with a mission of working in collaboration with the residents and businesses of the South Side of Milwaukee to build a strong, healthy, and safe community. CCSCDC serves the neighborhood bordered by Greenfield and Oklahoma Avenues, between South 5th and South 27th Streets. Their three main areas of focus are housing, business and community building.
