CABQ Creative Economy Survey

The City of Albuquerque's Department of Arts & Culture, in partnership with UNM's Bureau of Business and Economic Research (BBER), invites you to take part in a survey to help us understand the current impact of Albuquerque's creative economy.

The survey is open to artists and creatives in the greater Albuquerque area only. Your participation will provide essential insights into the ways local artists, artisans, and creatives contribute to our economy, guiding future support for this vital sector. Your responses are confidential, and your input will shape initiatives to sustain and grow our vibrant creative community.

Please note: you may come across a link to this survey at local events like festivals or fairs, or other groups or collectives because we are trying to reach as many people as possible. You are only being asked to complete the survey once. Creativity counts -- our work matters!

Albuquerque Convention Center Call for Artists: Exhibition Halls Concession Stand Art Wraps

The Albuquerque Convention Center wishes to commission one local artist to design vinyl wraps to be installed on the facade of the concession stands in the four exhibition halls of the Convention Center.

Artwork should highlight Albuquerque, New Mexico culture, and the Southwest. Designs may include iconic Albuquerque imagery including hot air balloons, the Sandias, etc. The Albuquerque Convention Center is interested in both figurative or abstract and traditional or contemporary designs. The wraps can accommodate a digital design and/or 2-Dimensional artwork.

$1,000 is available to commission an artist to create 6 original designs for the wraps to be located on the concession stands in the four exhibition halls. The Albuquerque Convention Center will fund the printing and installation of the vinyl wraps. The artist should include their name/signature somewhere on the designs to increase their exposure to the multitude of the Convention Center's attendees.

Legal residents of New Mexico, 18 years of age, are eligible to submit. Design submissions will be reviewed by the Albuquerque Convention Center's General Manager and Marketing Team.

Questions about the project may be directed to Briana Salazar at bsalazar@albuquerquecc.com or Visha Gandhi at vgandhi@albuqeurquecc.com.
