Every five years, representatives from UFCW chartered bodies in the US and Canada come together to debate issues and pass resolutions, make amendments to the International Constitution, and elect International Officers.


It also is an opportunity to connect and collaborate with other UFCW members from a diverse range of industries and backgrounds.

Theme of "Strength" as in our "Union Solidarity," continued growth and being financially prepared to tackle whatever comes next for our members.

Theme of "Future" and belief in things not yet seen & that there are better days ahead!

On the 2nd day of the Convention, President Burris was nominated and elected to be an International Vice President and sit on the International Executive Board!

UFCW Announces Full Opposition to Proposed Kroger - Albertsons Merger

On May 4, the UFCW formally announced its full opposition to the proposed Kroger-Albertsons merger.


Our union also announced the passage (during the 9th Regular Convention) of a resolution that addresses mergers across our core industries that pose a threat to essential UFCW members, their families, and the communities they serve.
