Fellowship Spotlight: Stephen Spana

After a very competitive selection process, the Transportation Institute at the University of Florida will be welcoming six new Ph.D. students this fall, who have received the Iva and Norman Tuckett UFTI Fellowship. One of these students is Stephen Spana, a familiar face here at UFTI. He was part of our 2015 Transportation Research Internship Program (TRIP) and has worked as a research assistant under UFTI affiliate Dr. Siva Srinivasan while an undergraduate student in civil engineering... Technology Transfer

UFTI Researchers Provide Technical Assistance to Encourage Safer Routes to Schools

UFTI faculty affiliates Dr. Ruth Steiner and Dr. Sivaramakrishnan Srinivasan, along with UFTI's Technology Transfer (T2) Center Director Maria Cahill, will be working on a Safe Routes to School (SRTS) Technical Assistance project. Their focus will be on assisting rural and under-resourced communities in Florida in developing SRTS grant applications. McTrans Highway Capacity Analysis Webinar Series 

This webinar series presents lectures, software demonstrations and application examples on the Highway Capacity Manual (HCM) procedures - including updates coming in the 6th Edition.  Step-by-step instruction of the HCM methodologies will be provided for each analytical chapter.  The Highway Capacity Software (HCS) implements and automates the HCM procedures.  Each lecture will be followed by working example problems and a software demonstration using the HCS7 prototype...
