Research Spotlight: Dr. Lili Du
Increasing traffic congestion takes a toll on individual drivers and the network system as a whole. To make travel route decisions, there currently exist two fairly accessible types of in-vehicle routing - independent routing systems and systemic routing systems. Both of these current systems have their own benefits and draw-backs.

With funding from her NSF CAREER award, Dr. Lili Du proposes a new approach that relies on complex mathematics to create a routing system that is more universally beneficial to individuals and the system.
