Application Developer Analyst III

Job Description:  Implement and validate the implemented products to ensure the design meets customer needs. Design and develop prototypes of software for a variety of transportation needs.
Interact with potential customers to solicit feedback and coordinate and execute modifications based on user input.
Interview and hire student assistants for web development projects. Supervise the daily work activities of student assistants.
Develop best practices for development and execution of user interfaces and systems across different products at Mc Trans . Develop technical documentation (designs, specifications, processes) and communications.

Minimum Qualifications:  Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and six years of experience. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.

Postdoctoral Associate

Job Description:  The Engineering School of Sustainable Infrastructure and Environment (ESSIE) at the University of Florida invites applications for a postdoctoral researcher in transportation.
The successful candidate will assist the University of Florida Transportation Institute (UFTI) with several research projects related to its I-STREET initiative. The candidate will assist with proposal writing, development of research plans, quantitative analyses, and tech transfer efforts.
Candidates for this position should have a strong qualitative and quantitative research background and have experience with traffic operational analyses, transportation engineering/planning, survey design and administration, statistical analysis, and familiarity with connected and autonomous vehicle operations.

Minimum Qualifications:  PhD in Civil Engineering or related field;

Ken Courage Receives Lifetime Achievement Award
UF Professor Emeritus Ken Courage was presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award by the TRB Joint Subcommittee on Microsimulation for his significant contributions in the field.

Winning Poster from UFTI student Ala Alobeidyeen
Doctoral student Ala Alobeidyeen was awarded Best Graduate Student Poster at TRB 2020 by the TRB Geometric Design Committee (AFB10) for her poster titled "Mathematical Formulations for Understanding Interference and Transmission Range of V2V Communication in an Urban Road."
