Nearly 200 area high school students and their families gathered at UH at Sugar Land for Destination UH--an opportunity to learn more about all of UH's colleges and programs, plus meet with UH admissions, housing and financial aid pros. This is the second year such an event has been in Sugar Land.

The UH College of Nursing has been recognized nationally for its commitment to diversity and inclusion. For the fourth year in a row, INSIGHT Into Diversity Magazine has bestowed the college with the Health Professions Higher Education Excellence in Diversity (HEED) Award.


 

The UH Executive Human Resource Development program, housed at UH at Sugar Land, connected with human resource coach and consultant, Dave Ulrich, the featured presenter for the program’s annual luncheon.

 

Young leaders and creatives from around the country will gather in Detroit, Michigan, for the prestigious Forbes Under 30 Summit. Among them will be Chinwe Obi, a digital media student, whose professional aspirations are to pursue interface/user experience design.

Nov. 11-15 is QPR Week at UH at Sugar Land. Counselors from UH CAPS will oversee Suicide Prevention Training to teach how to persuade someone to contact assistance and how to identify referral options. Three workshops. Free. Register by emailing [email protected]
