Press Conference:
Utah's Broken Bridge to Medicaid Expansion
On April 1st, the day that full expansion under Proposition 3 should have rolled out, UHPP and other advocates held a press conference highlighting a number of ways that low-income Utahns will be left out of the legislature's partial Medicaid expansion.

The four secondary coverage gaps created by SB 96 include:
  • Lockout periods and the affordability cliff for people between 100-138% of the Federal Poverty Line
  • Enrollment caps
  • Work reporting requirements
  • Per capita caps
The legislature's Proposition 3 repeal and replace plan leaves several secondary coverage gaps. Are you or someone you know concerned about being left out by the new plan? Fill out this survey, and share with your networks.
