International Education Week (IEW) (Nov. 18-22) celebrates the many ways international education prepares people for living and working in a global environment. Take part in the many IEW events taking place around campus.

Funding
Critical Language Scholarship
All expenses paid scholarship! Gain the equivalent of one year of college language instruction in 8-10 weeks studying abroad over the summer. 

Deadline: November 19, 2019
Boren Awards
Receive up to $20,000 in funding to study less commonly taught languages in regions critical to U.S. interests including Africa, Asia, Central and Eastern Europe, Eurasia, Latin America, and the Middle East.

Deadline: January 23, 2020

IES Abroad Internships
If you ever thought about getting work experience over the summer while spending time abroad, check out IES Abroad. You'll be truly immersed with locals as you pick up critical job skills in your field of choice.

Iowa at Oxford - Exeter College Summer Program
Earn 6 s.h. while studying at the oldest university in the English-speaking world! Courses have been designed to allow you to work both towards your UI degree requirements and to try something new.

UI study abroad alum is now helping Iowa refugees
From studying in China to teaching English in Taiwan, Brett Burk's study abroad experiences led him to a career where he helps others help themselves.

Greece: Origins of Humanistic Counseling
This faculty-led program will guide you through the origins of humanistic counseling while physically exploring the history, culture, and landscape of Greece. Any major can apply.

Duration: 12 days (summer)
