Forestry Alumni Bash

National Forest Products Week

The Department of Forestry and Natural Resources participated in the National Forest Products Week in October. The weeklong program titled “From Basketball Courts to Bourbon Barrels: Forest Products and Stewardship” began with a cookout courtesy of Bob Bauer of Kentucky Forest Industries Association. UK Forestry Students Participate in 2018 Music and Mentoring

In September, eight UK Forestry students participated in the 4 ^th Annual Music and Mentoring event hosted by the Middle Tennessee SAF Chapter and Kentucky-Tennessee SAF. UK students were joined by students from other Kentucky and Tennessee schools. Our students enjoyed the mentoring and networking opportunities this event provided.

UK Forestry Students Attend National SAF Meeting in Portland, Oregon

Five UK Forestry students received a department travel scholarship to attend the National SAF Convention in Portland, Oregon. Congratulations to Michael Branscum, Dan Eaton, Ryan Welleford, Michael Ammerman, and Hannah Hollowell (students pictured with Dr. John Lhotka).
