UK researchers are developing a compact CO2 capture system that uses a packing-free smaller CO2 absorber with fine liquid droplets and gas-liquid bubbles than most related technologies, achieved through increased mass transfer of CO2 from the gas phase to the liquid phase.

This technology represents an opportunity to continue the push for lowered emissions while also providing captured CO2 that can be repurposed for other applications.
