OUR HISTORY
ALG began printing UL approved products in 1978. Today, ALG produces millions of UL certified products every day for a wide range of customers across the United States and Canada.

Currently, ALG has over 25 approved UL printed systems and 33 thermal transfer systems using 9 approved ink systems across printing technologies including Flexographic, Screen Print, Digital Solvent Inkjet, Digital UV Inkjet and Digital Thermal Transfer printing.

With over 30 different UL standards approved and being manufactured, we can assist you in meeting your UL label and decal requirements.

ALG is recognized as part of the UL "Authorized Label Suppliers Program", allowing ALG to print UL marks and provide a wide-range of tested and approved material constructions for a vast array of end user applications.


ALG UL Approved Products
The following UL Standards have been approved for production under the ALG Labels Systems:

  • UL 73 - Motor Operated Appliances
  • UL 162 - Foam Equipment and Liquid Concentrates
  • UL 197 - Commercial Electric Cooling Appliances
  • UL 299 - Dry Chemical FE
  • UL 300 - Fire Testing of Fire Extinguishing Systems for Protection of Commercial Cooking Equipment
  • UL 508 - Industrial Control Panels
  • UL 651 - Schedule 40 and 80 Rigid PVC Conduit and Fittings
  • UL 916 - Energy Management Equipment
  • UL 969 - Standard : Marking and Labeling
  • UL 1254 - Pre-Engineering Dry Chemical Extinguishing System Units
  • UL 1322 - Fabricated Scaffold Planks and Stages
  • UL 1889 - Commercial Fryers Filters
  • UL 1995 - Heating and Cooling Equipment
  • UL 2127 - Inert Gas Clean Agent Extinguishing Systems Units
  • UL 2166 - Halocarbon Clean Agent Fire Extinguishing Systems Units
  • UL 2775 - Fixed Condensed Aerosol Extinguishing System Units
ALG UL Additions
While ALG has many specific products that can be manufactured under UL Approved standards as seen in the Approved UL Products listing above, within these specific products there also are "Additional Conditions" that the product can perform.

Every UL Approved product will list the following performance specifications:

  • Application Surface
  • Minimum/Maximum Temperature range the product will perform
  • Performance for Indoor and/or Outdoor use

However, in some cases, specific combinations of the three performance areas above can have "Additional Conditions" that allow product performance under added exposures.

Some of these "added conditions" or "exposures" are:

  • Cooking Oil
  • High Temperature Ranges
  • Gasoline
  • Lubricating Oil
  • Chemical Resistance
UL Approved - ALG8
One example of a UL approved product that has additional exposure properties is ALG8. This specific UL approved product is used to produce overlays with the following construction:

  • Printing Process: Screen or Digitally Printed
  • Material: 5-10 Mil Polyester
  • Application Surfaces: Various (see compete list here)
  • Minimum/Maximum Temp Range: -40 to 100 degrees Celsius
  • Indoor/Outdoor Use: Both


When this product is applied to a stainless steel surface, UL approves "additional conditions" as follows:
  • Occasional exposure to cooking oil up to 100 degrees Celsius
  • Occasional exposure to lubricating oil
Inventory Programs
Maintaining the right balance of inventory across different plants and for different products can be challenging. ALG offers a range of inventory programs to fit your needs.
ALG Distribution Center - Housing Millions of Parts
The ALG Distribution Center (ADC) houses thousands of SKUs, totaling over 10 million parts, for over one hundred of our customers.

From this climate controlled warehouse, the ALG staff manages inventory programs ranging from full pallet to individual packs, to meet each customer's specific needs.

Inventory is stored in lots and managed on a "first in, first out" basis, preventing products from sitting unused beyond their shelf life.

Releases can be scheduled or managed by inventory on-hand, with custom packaging and monthly inventory reports as part of our services.
JIT, Scheduled Release
To be responsive to your business needs, Just In Time (JIT) and Scheduled Releases are two programs to consider.

JIT program allows us to release your inventoried product and have it shipped to you the same day. This "lean" program, keeps products cycling to you when you need them.

Scheduled Releases is an inventory program where you determine the release of products to your respective plants. ALG will pull from your predetermined inventory and ship the products to meet your arrival time. This keeps products following to your production facilities on-time and right when you need them.
Min-Max Program
You determine the levels that fit within your minimum and maximum inventory for any given product. ALG will manage to those set stock levels so that you are never without your minimum number.
VMI - Vendor Managed Inventory
Vendor Managed Inventory is a streamlined process to better manage inventory to your plants with quick order fulfillment.

Inventory is kept on-site for quick response to changes in manufacturing needs as demand increases. ALG can supply subcontractors that are responsible for on-site counts and inventory replenishments, keeping your supply chain reactive to your needs.

Based upon the inventory levels you set, ALG will manage inventory on-site, manufacturing products when inventory gets low and restocking to keep your supply chain running smoothly.
Third Party Logistics (3PL)
ALG works with 3PL firms for customers who require logistic services for assistance in transportation and other supply chain challenges such as:

  • Ability to navigate international shipments
  • Lending support by integrating with company's existing inventory programs
  • Special inventory needs that go above current inventory system
Other Inventory Services
Custom Labels and Packaging: From simple logos to more complex labeling with variable data, ALG has you covered so you never have to worry about ever again. ALG's Customer Service team can work with you to meet your custom labeling and packaging needs.

Monthly Inventory Reports: Monthly inventory reports are released to all customers that shows every product your company has in inventory. This report also includes part numbers, descriptions and on-hand counts.
