As We Prepare For The
The Third Sunday After Epiphany
May our ministries bring the new life that you
intend for all people. We ask this in the name of Christ our Lord. Amen
First, I want to thank everyone for your prayers for my sister and my family. She went to be with the Lord this past Monday. Thanks also to everyone who stepped in to lead worship while I was away. It was certainly a gift to me to know everything was taken care of.
This Sunday we begin a new sermon series called Questions of Faith. The sermons are being developed around the questions several of you submitted. This Sunday we’re going to look at faith. Our scripture comes from Hebrews 11:1-3, 6. Hebrews 11 is called the  faith  chapter in the Bible. In the church we use the word  faith  A LOT! We’re called to keep the faith, grow in our faith, bring others to faith and lean on our faith in hard times. But what are we really talking about. What is it? How do we know we have it? And if we don’t have it how do we get it?
I hope you’ll join us this Sunday in worship as we try to tackle these and other questions. It’s going to be cold outside, but we’ll make sure it’s nice and toasty for you inside.

Please be sure to scroll down and

The Bell Choir and Women's Vocal Choir have been active the past few months, below you can see each had the opportunity to enhance worship during the Christmas season.

The Dynamite Disciples are currently working with The Fruits of the Spirit theme, we are exploring how this plays into their lives today in areas such as bullying, how we should react to negative behaviors, having patience to wait turns to do something, having self-control in activities, etc. The Fruits of the Spirit are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. We are talking about how we can use these positives to treat other the way we all want to be treated and how maybe we can adjust how we react to situations.
If you would like to watch the video that we opened our roation with you can find it at this link: http://us-en.superbook.cbn.com/gizmonote/g107#X
In the Bible Study rotation, the kids are going over Luke 19:1-10, and reading about Zacchaeus and how Jesus showed us how to stand up against bullying and how to fight against it. In the Craft/Activity rotation, the kids are making mini fruit pizzas and talking about the good and bad fruits of the spirt. They are also discussing times that they showed good use of the fruits of the spirt and maybe times that they need to give more thought to things when they exhibit bad fruits of the spirit. In the Games and Drama rotations the kids are interacting with each other all while building on this roation's theme.

Memory Verse for this roation is:  “ You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”  Mark 12:31
