As We Prepare For The
The Fifth Sunday After Epiphany
May our ministries bring the new life that you
intend for all people. We ask this in the name of Christ our Lord. Amen
We can be a person of faith, we can go to church and we can know the Bible frontwards and backwards BUT if we aren’t able to translate our faith into real life, what difference does it really make?
If we say we are a follower of Jesus, but we live like we aren’t, what does that say to the world around us?
This week we are continuing our sermon series on Questions of Faith. Several questions I received had to do with faith and real life. Questions like:
·           Does technology jeopardize how we connect with our faith and beliefs?
·           Can we be good Christians even though we use apps instead of the Bible?
·           How can one live the Christian life without being judgmental?
·           I know I’m supposed to forgive, but what if I can’t
·           Why does it matter if Christians go to church? Is there a reason you can’t just be a Christian at home?
Thank you for the great questions! I hope to see you in church Sunday, as we tackle the questions about how our faith matters in our daily, walking around lives. In the meantime, try and stay warm!

-Parents please pick-up your kid(s) at 6:30 pm. The kids are in music from 6:15-6:30pm and will be dismissed after that portion of their evening with us .

The Dynamite Disciples will soon finish up their rotation: The Fruits of the Spirit theme, where they are exploring how this plays into their lives today in areas such as bullying, how we should react to negative behaviors, having patience to wait turns to do something, having self-control in activities, etc. The Fruits of the Spirit are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.

Memory Verse for this roation is:  “ You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”  Mark 12:31
