UWF General Meeting-12/14

The United Women in Faith (UWF) will be having their General Meeting on Saturday, 12/14/24, at 10 AM in Room 114. Please bring a $10 wrapped gift to exchange with your UWF friends.

All women are invited to attend this important meeting.

Tidings of Joy-12/15

We will once again trumpet in the season of Great Joy. At 7:00 pm that evening, our special “Tidings of Joy” worship and candlelight service will recreate all the necessary Christmas context. The urgency, excitement, mystery, and hope of these joyous tidings will be kindled through readings and Christmas hymns, and especially by the dynamic music of Daniel Pinkham (1926-2006). His famous “Christmas Cantata” is simultaneously ancient, medieval, and modern. It will combine a vocal choir, brass, and the UMC Red Bank’s magnificent Hradetzky pipe organ into an undeniably manifest choir of angels. The UMCRB Handbell Choir will also be featured prominently. Don’t miss this joyous event!

Reverse Advent Calendar -

Many traditional Advent Calendars offer a treat for each day leading up to Christmas Day. This year, instead of “getting” something each day, collect a much needed non-perishable pantry item to give to those in need. Bring your items to church each week leading up to Christmas. The items will be delivered to our very own BPC Food Pantry and will be given to friends and neighbors right here in our community. Thank you for your kindness and generosity towards others in need!

Next week, we will be collecting soup and crackers.

UWF Craft Group- 12/17

Craft Group will meet next Tuesday, December 17 between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. in the Library Lounge area. After that meeting, we will be taking our holiday break and will not meet again until January 14.

We have been "BUSY ELVES" this December and will have a new selection of beautiful Christmas cards on our Craft Group table jn Fellowship Hall on the last two Sundays before Christmas. Besides mailing cards, you could use them when giving a Christmas gift of a check or gift card to someone in person. Cards are just $1.00 each. Thanks for purchasing our cards this year. We have been able to provide over $1,000 toward the budgeted mission donations which UWF has made in 2024.

Advent Options-

This year, the Mission and Service Committee decided that one of their Advent Options will be to fill the BPC Food Pantry shelves. Each week of Advent, we will be collecting a different item. (breakfast items, toiletries/paper goods, pasta and sauce, & soup and crackers). The other Options for this year are for Bridge of Books and Oasis TLC. Look out for more information to come and contact Elaine Baughman with any questions.

For those who are struggling with grief and loss, for those supporting others who are struggling, we offer these tidings of comfort.

Join in the fun at 5PM on Christmas Eve! We will sing Christmas Carols, have child-friendly and interactive retelling of the nativity story, and will welcome Jesus into our hearts once again. All are welcome!

Join us Christmas Eve at 9 pm for our Traditional Candlelight Service. Let the beauty of the season fill you with joy as we welcome Christ, our Light, into our hearts in a new and fresh way this year.

It is our tradition to have an informal worship service on the Sunday after Christmas. This year, we will be having a brunch service around the table in Fellowship Hall. We will provide the bagels, otherwise, it will be a potluck style event (be sure to sign up on the sheet in FH). We hope that you can join us for this fun and delicious morning of worship! This will be in place of our normally scheduled worship service on 12/29.
