Ministry in the Midst of COVID-19

Our church is a place of community, love, and support. In troubled times, connection with God and each other is even more essential. W hile the church building is closed, our ministry continues in new and creative ways! We’re worshipping online. We’re gathering for small group study and fellowship through video conference calls. Below you will find details about all of the ministries that have moved online and how to connect with them. If you have questions or have trouble connecting for an event, please reach out to [email protected].

In light of this unprecedented event, many of you may be facing unexpected needs and circumstances. If the church can be of help, please reach out to Pastor Jess via email or 908-400-2343. We are actively developing a network of support and will do our best to support your individual needs.
Worship has gone ONLINE!

For 6 weeks now, we have been worshiping online, and we hope you have been able to join us. There are various ways to worship with us, either at 10:00 am on Sunday mornings or by watching the posted video from service at a later time.

Want to connect with others through real-time comments and responses to the worship experience? Go to www.facebook.com/umcredbank/live/ . You do not need to have a Facebook account in order to watch! If you do have a Facebook account, once you start watching, feel free to click the Share button at the bottom of the screen, to share with your friends.
If you’d rather avoid Facebook and watch from our church website, go to www.umcredbank.org/church-service-streaming-live/ .
If you missed any of our services, you can find previous week's worship services on our church website by clicking here .
Worship Sneak Peek
April 26th, 2020

Join us this Sunday in online worship! We will be reflecting on the heart of the message of Easter throughout the whole season of Eastertide, until we celebrate the birthday of the church on Pentecost. Though we cannot gather in person, we will certainly gather in spirit for our church ministry is very much alive, even in this time of social distancing. Feel free to invite a friend!

UMCRB Celebrates Earth Day
Red Bank United Methodist Church invites you to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Earth Day During the month of April. Here are some ways you, your family and our congregation can show our continued commitment to being good stewards of the earth and our surrounding environment:
  • Explore the various GreenFair projects and presentations that have been made available for us on our church website.
  • Have you ever thought of installing solar panels at your home? The Hacklers, Walradts, and Glossbrenners have shared their experience with using rooftop solar for energy.
  • Learn more about Plant Based Diets and how they can benefit you AND the earth, from Joan Smith and Michele Naples.
  • Look for the outdoor scavenger hunt created by Jenni Foster and their girls. We will see what you have found by the first of May.
  • On Sunday after church, join in the post-service zoom call to talk more about how we can work together to help cut down on carbon pollution and slow global climate change. We’re all in this together!
Thanks for your continued support and participation. Contact Janie Schildge to learn more about our church Greenfaith efforts and commitment.
Backpack Crew Update
The Backpack Crew has continued to serve the increasing number of people who are impacted by food insecurity in the midst of this health crisis. We are now serving 76 local families with home deliveries and we served 89 families at our Backpack Crew Pantry on the first Monday of April. Food donations are greatly appreciated on the back porch of the church, Monday through Friday from 9 am to 3 pm. The items that we are most in need currently are cereal and shelf stable milk. Thank you for your continued support. Email us at [email protected] with any questions.
