Join in our online worship service on Sunday, June 7th as we celebrate Pentecost together and reflect on how the Holy Spirit is at work in our lives and world today. We will also be introducing our new Director of Children and Youth Ministries, Pastor Tammy Young. Holy Communion will be shared, so to participate from home you will want to have bread and juice (or some alternative option, like crackers and water) prepared so that you can join in. Welcome Tammy Young as our new Director of Children and Youth Ministries!
We invite you to join in welcoming Tammy Young as our newest member of staff. Tammy was recently ordained as a priest in the Episcopal Diocese of NJ, and has been serving the Church for four decades. She brings to ministry a life-long passion for Gospel justice, social advocacy, and Christian youth formation where she strives to help make God's living Word a reality in the daily lives of our youth. Before entering seminary, Tammy served as the Director of St. Mark's Center for Community Renewal, a daily feeding program and social service resource center in Keansburg, which served over 6,000 monthly meals and countless hours of Christian fellowship to community residents. Throughout her ministry with the Center and forty years experience with youth ministry, one of her greatest joys was helping young disciples use the image of God within themselves to see and to love the image of God within others. In her spare time, Tammy enjoys studying Hebrew Scripture with her beloved cats, Saints Francis and Clare. Feel free to reach out and welcome Tammy through her church email address [email protected] . Welcome to the UMCRB family!
