Dear Colleagues, 

I am pleased to kick off the University of Maine System (UMS) Combined Charitable Appeal for University Employees (CCAUE). The need for support remains crucial to many Mainers. Across the state, we continue to deal with high inflation rates, creating stress at the gas pump and grocery store. With winter approaching and heating costs high, our neighbors continue their reliance on programs such as ours to help fill in the gaps. 

The CCAUE’s long-standing partnerships with various statewide, regional, national, and international agencies and service organizations—more than 450—assist those who can benefit most from our compassion and generosity. With such a wide variety of local and global charities to choose from, it’s easy to find a cause to support. If your preferred charity is not on the list, you can add it, and your funds will be directed there.

I am proud of UMS’ commitment to these causes: over more than twenty years of participation, our combined contributions to the CCAUE have totaled in excess of $2 million.

The UMS CCAUE launches on November 1 and runs through the end of the month.
