Medical Humanities Event on Campus - January 30th
The Interstitium Team would like to invite you to our Website Launch Party! Please join the celebration on Thursday, January 30th, from 5:30-7pm at the NERB1-1500 conference room (in the new buidling). They will have light fare and beverages, introduce The Intersitium team and staff writers, and get a visual on the new website. The Interstium was started during the pandemic by a medical student to publish stories and poems written by local students, residents and faculty - new features are being added including images and a newsletter by a group of ambitious and creative current medical students!
The Family Medicine Education Consortium (FMEC) invites family physicians, residents and medical students throughout the northeastern U.S. to submit presentations for its 2025 Annual Meeting, September 18th-20th. Submissions are welcome from faculty/fellows/residents and full-time medical students that address any and all topics related to family medicine, primary care, and the teaching of family medicine.

2025 Thomas Zand Refugee Health Scholarship
The Department of FMCH invites applications for the annual Thomas Zand Refugee Health Scholarships. These scholarships support medical students passionate about refugee health by funding their attendance at the North American Refugee Health Conference (NARHC). This year’s conference will be held in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, from June 27–29, 2025. To apply, submit your application to maria.barluenga@umassmed.edu by February 15th, 2025.
