Application for Graduate Certificate Focused on Improvement Science and Implementation is Open Now

Learn the know-how, skills, and dispositions of improvement science and implementation — along with other professional students from education, healthcare, social work, industry, and more — in the three-course Interprofessional Graduate Certificate in Improvement Science and Implementation. The online, asynchronous coursework is paired with seven in-person, project-based weekend sessions at UNC-Chapel Hill during which students work with community members to interrogate a problem of practice, develop a set of prototypes to respond to the problem, and test the prototypes in real-world settings.

Previous cohorts have work with community partners to improve rates of colorectal screening in one North Carolina community, boost participation in study abroad among students who have historically been left out, and increase access to healthcare for people facing high-risk pregnancies in rural distant areas of the state.

Applications are being accepted now and admissions are made on a rolling basis. The certificate program is led by an advisory board of faculty and staff members from the Schools of Education, Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Public Health, and Social Work.

Post Election: Moving Forward Together

Thursday, November 14, 5-7 pm

Campus Y Building, Anne Queen Lounge

180A E. Cameron Ave., Chapel Hill

Once all the campaigning and voting is over, we are left to process the results and resulting transfer of power. While many believe we continue to grow even more divided, there has been a renewed commitment to seeking understanding and moving forward together as a nation. This conversation allows us to hold onto our shared humanity alongside our differences, and explore how we can build on our common ideals whether we feel as though we “won” or “lost” during the election.

This dialogue will be hosted in a living room style and is hosted by the Campus Y. Please register on HeelLife.
