UNC MPA News and Events

UNC MPA is proud to announce the program has once again been named among the nation's top 20 public affairs schools.

The 2024 U.S. News & World Report rankings saw the program improve its rank to 19th overall in the United States. In addition, the program retained its prestigious second-ranked position in the local government management specialty area and improved its standing in the field of public finance and budgeting.

“We are grateful for this continued recognition from our peer programs—and as always remain committed to continuous improvement in the years ahead,” said MPA Director Willow Jacobson.

The program remains the top-ranked MPA degree in North Carolina and has spent 11 consecutive years in the top 25 nationwide.
