Dickerson Highlighted on UNC Website

MPA Faculty member Dr. Kimalee Dickerson was recently highlighted on unc.edu for her work at the Engaging Women of Color Conference, which has now been held four times at the NC Botanical Gardens. In the article, Dickerson talks about the importance of her study, on the group of women this conference brought together, and how this work and group helps shape the roles of women in government. The Engaging Women of Color conference focuses on the perspectives and experiences of women of color working in public service. Congrats on the recognition, Dr. Dickerson!

PS- Dr. Dickerson's PUBA 754 Social Equity in PA, is currently available for fall registration. It will be taught Hyflex Online on Tuesday evenings, meaning that students from both formats can join in.

MPA Faculty member Dr. Greg Allison also has a big update! The 2024-2-4 Finance Calendar of Duties for County and City Officials is out now and available for download from the SOG website. This annual publication identifies due dates throughout the fiscal year for the principal accounting, financial reporting, and budgeting duties of city and county officials.
