Join students, alumni, faculty, staff, friends, and their families for some tasty food and great conversation at the annual UNC MPA Alumni Kickoff Picnic. This event is free, and please bring your families, roommates, etc!

Volunteer Before the MPA Alumni Picnic

Every year the alumni picnic brings together current students and alumni. We are offering an additional opportunity for alumni and students to connect while giving back to the community.

On August 24 from 9:00 AM -12:00 PM, the UNC MPA Alumni Association will be volunteering with the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Triangle. The Ronald McDonald House is in need of volunteers to assist with deep cleaning the floors and windows of the house. Come for all or part of the time, just let us know you plan to volunteer by registering on this interest form or by emailing MaryBeth Spoehr at marybeth.spoehr@gmail.com. Please sign up by August 20th!

A highlight of this year's gathering is the release of the Economic Development Strategy for Downtown Raleigh, completed in partnership with the City of Raleigh, Interface Studio, and significant community feedback. 

At the event, attendees will get a first look at some big ideas for enhancing Downtown Raleigh as well as key findings from our annual State of Downtown Report.

Our State of Downtown Event is also a unique opportunity to network with local business leaders, city officials, and community stakeholders who are all committed to driving this community's success. Please join us!
