The Hernando COAD is committed to collaborating with over 60 different Health and Human Service representatives with a goal of fostering partnerships and reporting ongoing trends to better understand and serve our community. | | |

June's Business Blitz Challenge
For the month of June, United Way of Hernando County and their Community Challengers at Centennial Bank, challenged Hernando businesses to join their efforts in mobilizing resources for local unmet needs by “Accepting the Challenge”. Thanks to the generous contributions from local businesses, United Way surpassed their goal, including a $5,000 match from Challengers at Centennial Bank, with a total raised of $11,901!
Accepting the Challenge is so much more than a donation. These businesses know what it takes to prosper and want every individual and family to have access to the care and resources they need. When you are in need of a local service and in search of a reliable company, consider referring to United Way’s Preferred Partners list. Preferred Partners recognize the value in giving to United Way and know that their donation will be hard at work, helping make a difference through Health, Education, Financial Stability, & Basic Needs/Crisis Prevention services in Hernando County.

Stress Management
Stress is a fact of life. Overbooked schedules, demanding work hours, long commutes, an outburst by an angry boss, a stand-off with a defiant teenage child and the bad news that makes headlines every day are all contributors to the increased stress that many feel. Now more than ever it is important to recognize signs of stress in ourselves, our families and our communities and take the necessary steps to reduce stress and intervene if needed.
