FEBRUARY 2024 MONTHLY LETTER

1 Corinthians 12:27 Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually.

We see here Paul emphasizing to the Corinthians church the importance of unity within the body. There was division within the Corinthians church, and I believe the Lord is speaking to us today, with what we are seeing within the body.

1 Corinthians 3-4 for you are still carnal. For where there are envy, strife, and divisions among you, are you not carnal and behaving like mere men? 4 For when one says, “I am of Paul,” and another, “I am of Apollos,” are you not carnal? 5 Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers through whom you believed, as the Lord gave to each one? 6 I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase. 7 So then neither he who plants is anything, nor he who waters, but God who gives the increase. 8 Now he who plants and he who waters are one, and each one will receive his own reward according to his own labor. 9 For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, you are God’s building.

We must truly understand, although we are many members, we are one body. The Lord wants His people to walk in unity, this is His will for us!

In order to fully accomplish the will of God for our lives, we must have the understanding that we are one body. Although we are members individually, we have different functions, but we are one body! What unifies us as a body is that we are born again believers, and we have one Spirit.

God has designed this unity, and He has appointed the church to do their part as a unified body.

Unity is very important in the body of Christ. This is the only way that the Lord will accomplish His will through us. If each of us do our part in unity, then God can do His part through us.

Remember that the Lord does His works through us, He is not coming down from heaven to accomplish the work of ministry. He does it through us, through those who surrender their lives to be used by Him in whatever matter He desires. If it be an apostle, prophet, teacher, evangelist, or pastor, or a believer. We know that not every believer is called to one of these spiritual gifts, but we are all called to do our part in the Kingdom. The administration of these gifts does not make us any different, nobody is higher than the other. Remember, although we are members individually, we are one body! These gifts are for the edifying of the body of Christ!

The eye cannot do what the mouth does, that is why, we are different members, but to accomplish one purpose and that is to do His will, the works of the Kingdom! This is His divine design, and no one can change it.

When we are in tune with the Lord, then, we understand that although we are different members, we are out to serve one another. This is what unifies us as a body!

If we truly want to see the Lord working through us, flesh must die in order for God to do His work through us. We see so much flesh in operation that the Lord cannot accomplish His will through those He wants to use for His purpose. This is why we don’t see much change in the Kingdom of God, we must advance not take steps back. All we see is man in operation, doing their own thing, “my vision, my people, my money” everything is “my, my, my”. This is how you know who is in operation, the flesh and not someone who walks in the Spirit. Yes, they both have their operations, one in the Spirit and one in the flesh. They are opposing one another. We are Spirit filled people, we walk in the Spirit and not in the flesh.

Advancing the Kingdom means we progress. Our lives become one with the Lord, then we can advance the Kingdom of God and do our part and serve one another. It’s not just serving “me” that you don’t do your part to serve others. It does not matter what position you have; we are to serve one another! This is the will of the Lord for His church. Once you truly understand this in your heart, then everything you do will be to glorify the Lord with your life, and to be a blessing to those the Lord brings to you. You don’t pick and choose whom you want to serve, just because you already have your own agenda. You must serve everyone in the same manner.

We must be in close fellowship with the Lord in order to truly understand His will for us as a body. Do not be deceived! If we are not walking as a unified church, then we are not doing the will of the Lord as His body.

The Lord is waiting on us to get with His program, and you will see in your midst the movement of the Spirit in operation. This move of the spirit cannot be stopped, because we are walking in the spirit, following the will of the Lord!

There is so much division within the church today, this is why God cannot do anything through us. He wants to do so much through us, many good things in us and around us. The Lord wants to be glorified in us and through us! Let’s allow the Lord to do His will in us, let’s walk in unity with one another although we are different members of the body.

The Lord is not in the midst of division; we know who is at work. The Lord wants His children to walk in unity! This unity can only be visible if we do our part as individual members, not looking at the other in any other way than to work together to do the work of the Kingdom. This is the way we can advance the Kingdom of God!

We all must come to the unity of the faith and knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ according to Ephesians 4:13.

Let’s come together in unity, despite what member of the body you are. Once we come together in unity as a body, the Lord our Father can accomplish His will through us. Amen!
