Weekly Wellness Tip: Can we be mindful all the time?
Last week, I discussed the basic idea of “mindfulness” and defined it as “paying attention, on purpose, in the present moment, nonjudgmentally.” If you have heard this definition and tried to employ it in your daily life, you may have become frustrated when your attention to what you are doing wanders. Don’t fight it. Don’t try to “stay in the present moment” – it can’t be done. Instead, remind yourself to “return to the present moment.” That’s the key. – Dr. Steve Wengel
