DID YOU KNOW?

On April 8th 2024 a Total Solar Eclipse will happen, this is an event that happens once in a lifetime. The UNT Discovery Park, Denton and Frisco Campus are throwing an Eclipse Watching Party. Attendance is free but you have to register to save your spot!

Spring Commencement Deadline Registration | Friday, April 12

Commencement RSVP instructions will be sent to your student email. To ensure that you receive these instructions, please add commencement@unt.edu, and for more information click here.

Spring Finals Week | Saturday, May 4 - Friday, May 10

As the semester wraps up, final exams will come quicker than we think! Remind your student to prepare to end the semester on a strong note. To access the UNT academic calendar, click here.

UNT Parent Poll

UNT Parent Programs has started conducting UNT Parent Polls-- a brief poll about University of North Texas parent and family experiences.

How is your student preparing for finals?

Select the answer that best fits your family
They went to tutoring services.

They are studying on their own.
They haven't started but they are going to.

Court on Campus | Wednesday, April 3 at 2pm

Denton Municipal court on campus allows students to resolve any pending citations, traffic tickets, or parking tickets without the fear of arrest. For additional information regarding this event, click here.

Mean Green Family Live | Monday, April 8 at 7pm

Parent Programs invites you to join us virtually for our Mean Green Family Live webinar focusing on housing move-out procedures. This month's webinar will cover everything you need to know about moving out of the residence halls. The webinar is live and is held via Zoom from 7 - 8 pm CST. Can't make it? A recording of this session will be uploaded to our website.

Wrapping up the Semester

1 This time of the school year can be very busy for students as they wrap up their courses and plan for the semester ahead.

Remind your students to take care of their health so they tackle their course work. Students can take advantage of our Learning Center and Counseling and Testing Services as they navigate the end of the semester.

Summertime Plans

2 What time is it? Summertime!

Whether your student decides to take time off for the summer or are looking for internships and part-time jobs, we are here to support them! Remind your student to meet with their academic advisor or a career coach to help them map out their summer.

Take Time to Reflect

3 As your student and your family celebrate successfully finishing the semester, take time to reflect.

Encourage your student to reflect on their expereinces this semester, to celebrate their accomplishments and all they've learned, and also to identify potential areas for growth.

REC Center | Pohl Recreation Center

Is your student looking for ways to get involved and build a community? Encourage your student to try out some of the many things offered at the Rec Center! They offer intramural sports, esports, rocking climbing, and more! Click here to view all the schedules for the different programs held at the Rec Center!

Student Health and Wellness Center | Chestnut Hall-2nd Floor

The Student Health and Wellness Center is the campus medical clinic for UNT students which helps provide students with different resources to manage their physical and mental health. For more information about their services click here.
