SEASONS OF ADJUSTMENT

Do a Mid Semester Check-In

1 Students might experience high levels of pressure around mid terms and with Spring Break coming up.

Remind your student that while spring is a time for much social activity, balance is important. Share with them opportunities for rest and relaxation so they come back strong to finish off the semester.

Making Plans

2 Start talking to your student about their plans for summer and fall!

Encourage your student to begin making plans for summer and fall now. Whether it be an internship, part time job, extra coursework, or anything else, UNT provides resources to support the goals of your student!

Keep Your Support Levels High

3 Try not to demand too much from your student in terms of academics and jobs

Keep expectations and support for your student high. Continually encourage your student to do their best and cultivate a growth mindset.
