Tip of the Month

Choosing Your Major is a Marathon, Not a Sprint!

When you apply to UNT, you are asked to select a major. Choosing this major does not tie you to this degree program, or impact your admission decision. You are admitted to UNT, not to a specific degree program.

  • Explore Major Options
  • Check out Advising's Exploring Majors Action Plan Workbook online to explore majors at UNT!
  • It is Okay to Change Your Major!
  • Changing your major is super normal! You will be able to change your major during orientation or even during your first few semesters at UNT!
  • Major Doesn't Have to Equal Career
  • Choosing a major can seem like the biggest decision ever! While it is a big decision, your major doesn't have to define your future career goals!
