Welcome to the very first edition of our "Transfer Newsletter"! We're excited to kick off the Fall semester with a lineup of fantastic events and resources to help you make the most of your transfer journey. 🎉

What we offer

Eagle Connections Mentoring Program

Eagle Connections is a mentoring program designed specifically for transfer students to help in your transition to your new home at UNT. You will be paired with a Transfer Ambassador who also transferred to UNT. They will serve as your guide and resource at UNT.

Tau Sigma National Honor Society

The Tau Sigma National Honor Society is an academic honors society exclusively for transfer students. Must obtain a GPA of 3.5 of higher in your first semester at UNT. Eligible students will receive an invitation to join.

Transfer Communities

UNT Transfer Communities are a great way for new and continuing transfer students to get involved! These communities provide opportunities for students to connect with peers, get the full UNT experience, and make a large institution feel a bit smaller.

Discover Denton

Discover Denton is a part of the Transfer Communities where every week we discover what the city of Denton has to offer.

Transfer Lockers

Within our office, we have lockers located just inside the office for transfer students to rent. You can rent a locker for a day, week, or semester at no cost at all.

National Transfer Appreciation Week

Transfer Appreciation Week is a week-long celebration for UNT to show how much we love and appreciate our transfer students. There will be different events across campus filled with food, prizes, and fun!

Upcoming Events!

North Texas Fair & Rodeo

Saddle up for a rootin' tootin' good time at the North Texas Fair & Rodeo! 🤠 Grab your boots and hats because, from 6 pm to 9 pm, we're taking over the fairgrounds for an evening of rodeo thrills, live music, and good old-fashioned fun.

Event Time: 6pm - 9pm

Ticket Prices: It's UNT Day at the Rodeo! $20 student price with valid Student ID shown. $25 without Student ID.

Transportation

The Transfer Center will provide transportation from UNT to the fairgrounds. You are more than welcome to invite others to attend the event, but this service will be reserved for our transfer students only. Transportation will be provided to and from the fairgrounds during set times.

Those using our transportation services will be notified via email about when and where to meet.

Transfer Ambassadors

The Transfer Ambassadors are experienced campus leaders who are here to help you get involved and navigate your experience here at UNT! Many of them also transferred from another college or university, so they can easily relate to the challenges that our students may face during their first semester at UNT. They are also certified peer mentors through the Eagle Connections Mentoring program.
