STEM Career Fair  

Wednesday, October 5 | 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. | Discovery Park Building


The STEM Career Fair is for students and alumni who are seeking an internship or full-time opportunities.

  • Employers will be at the UNT Discovery Park Commons from 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. to meet and network with you.
  • Business attire is suggested.
  • Bring copies of your resume - more than you would think you may need!

Sista Circle: Renaissance Edition

Thursday, October 6 | 2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. | Chestnut Hall, 313


The goal of the Sista Circle Workshop is to provide a safe, affirming space for Black-identified women to seek community and support. They will discuss topics related to relationships, identity, impacts of social justice issues, and more!

Prairie View A&M University 


Why did you choose UNT? 

UNT is closer to home and very inclusive. 


How did the Transfer Center help you? 

The Transfer Center helped connect me with my advisors to make sure all of my classes transferred over. 


What is your favorite part of UNT? 

I love all of the opportunities available and the choices of organizations to join here on campus. I got the chance to be an Orientation Leader and now a First Year Experience Leader. 


What was the hardest part of being a transfer student? 

I felt like I missed out on some opportunities by transferring to UNT and that I was behind on making connections with people. 


What advice do you have for transfer students? 

Don't be afraid to get involved! Even if it means go alone, do it. 


What's your favorite things to do in Denton? 

I love the Wild West Shaved Ice snow cone truck! They have the best snow cones in all of Denton. 


Where do you do in your free time? 

In my free time I like to hangout with my friends, explore more of Denton, or go home and visit my family. 


Fun Fact:

I HATE chocolate!

Find a good study place! 


As college students, you have to devote a lot of time for studying, so finding a good place to sit down for a few hours is crucial to stay focused. Getting out of your dorm room or apartment and experiencing a change of scenery can revitalize your brain and help you escape those everyday distractions.
