Transfer Student Highlights

Ashley

Year: Sophomore

Major: Information Sciences

What is your favorite thing about UNT?

The aura. You really get the feeling that you can be your truest, weirdest self without any judgement.

What is your favorite comfort book?

Jackal by Erin E. Adams

What is your dream travel destination? Nairobi, Kenya

What is one thing you have learned or benefited from while being at UNT?

Honestly all the centers available on campus just to help students succeed. The Transfer Center has been the most helpful to me my first semester here.

Who is someone that helped you the most during your first semester at UNT?

My little sister. It's also her first year here (she's a freshman) but she has been my rock since moving down here.

What is one piece of advice you would give future/new Transfer Students?

Get out of your comfort zone. Don't put off new experiences that you have time for now and say you'll catch the next one (you're just lying to yourself).

We want to celebrate our transfer students! If you are interested in being featured in our Transfer Center Newsletter, please fill out the form linked here!
