This Sunday, UPC will collect our gifts for the Peace & Global Witness Offering. A gift to the Peace & Global Witness Offering enables the church to promote the Peace of Christ by addressing systems of injustice across the world. Individual congregations are encouraged to utilize up to 25% of this offering to connect with the global witness of Christ's peace. Mid councils retain an additional 25% for ministries of peace and reconciliation. The remaining 50% is used by the Presbyterian Mission Agency to advocate for peace and justice in cultures of violence, including our own, through collaborative projects of education and Christian witness.
For over 30 years, the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) has been committed to pursuing a peaceful and just world. Peace seekers and advocates, those who work and pray for reconciliation and justice, have found their home in the Presbyterian peacemaking community.
Be sure to list University Presbyterian Church Austin as your congregation!
The Peace & Global Witness Offering is received during the Season of Peace, which ends on World Communion Sunday. This Offering joins Presbyterians together as active peacemakers, enabling the church to promote the peace of Christ by addressing systems of injustice in our own communities and across the world.

We hope you will join us.

The Present Word
Room 3
Lower Level
Sundays 9:30 a.m.

The Present Word background material is provided by the curriculum that gives the class its name. By using the scripture readings, we ensure that we are engaging with the whole Bible over time.

Our fall quarter topic is "God's World and God's People." In Genesis, the book of beginnings, God is revealed as the Creator, Sustainer, Judge, and Redeemer, who brought all things into being. The fall quarter surveys the Book of Genesis in developing sessions on God’s creation of the universe, earth, and people. It also details how God continues to co-labor with sinful humanity in reconciling and re-creating order in all things.

The class is led by Roscoe Overton. We would love to have you come learn, share and pray with us.
