Break-Outs are 90-minute and 3-hour mini-classes taught by experienced teachers and offer a "sampling" of letter styles, mixed media techniques, technology, business of Art and more!
Break-Out class proposals are due January 31, 2014.

 Join us at Legacies, the 33rd International Lettering Arts Conference held at Renaissance Dallas Richardson Hotel and
Eisemann Performing Arts Center in
Richardson, TXJuly 19 - 26, 2014.Faculty has been announced and workshops are posted! Embellishments Expo will feature 90 minute and 3 hour classes along with vendors offered throughout the entire week. So, if you can't stay for the week, you can get a Day Pass at Embellishements and take a few Break-Outs to inspire your creative spirit! We are in the process of getting CPE certified...cross your fingers! Try your hand with watercolors and the Zentangle� method of drawing. This class is a perfect excuse to get out of the house and renew your spirit. Creativity Coach and Certified Zentangle Teacher, Angie Vangalis will guide you through the process. Zentangle is a method of drawing that taps into your creativity quickly and provides many inspiring moments while building good foundational drawing techniques. $50 Includes instructor supplied materials. Bring a Sakura Pigma Micron size 01, or 02 (Available for purchase at the store)

TAEA Update
Texas Art Education AssociationLast month,Texas Lettering Arts Council hosted another booth for the 3rd year at the TAEA conference.
Congratulations to Candice Deskios, Stephanie Ludlow, and Melanie Spark who won cool door prizes donated by the Zentangle Corporation.
If you didn't get to pick up your prize, it is on it's way to your doorstep.
This year our Teachers got tangled at the classes taught by Angie Vangalis, CZT, Sandy Hunter, CZT, and Kimberly Romano, CZT and learned about Calligraphy and the international conference in July.
With a special guest appearance and book signing by authors Suzanne McNeill, CZT and Cindy Shepard, CZT.
Special thanks to Doreen Barbee, fabulous artist and art teacher in Mesquite, Brenda Johns and Ollie for helping in our booth. ART TEACHERS ROCK!!!
