"A GOD WHO QUESTIONS"
by Leonard DeLorenzo
A Scriptural Pilgrimage To Christ
Through Lent
_____
"No one is on secure ground
When Jesus starts asking questions"
_____
Welcome to our parish's pilgrimage for this Lenten Season!

At a time when we are transitioning back into a fuller life in the church, the best thing we can do is to "reset" our relationship with our Lord, review, refocus, and renew our love and commitment to Jesus, who is alive today and reaching out to us with opened hands... For those who are new to the Lord or seeking for truth, his loving heart is always waiting...
________
"A God Who Questions" examines 20 questions asked in Scripture and shows us how they reveal the hidden secrets of our hearts and invite a true encounter with God.

The 20 Questions Jesus asks

  1. Is this retreat in person or virtual?
  2. Can the retreat be done individually or just in groups?
  3. How do I form or join a group?
  4. How do I get started, how do I get the book and materials?
  5. What do we do in our gatherings? What format should we use?
  6. What if I don't want or cannot use the internet?
Introduction

"... Listening to the questions of Jesus... is painful and wonderful, unsettling and illuminating, inconvenient and inspiring, all at the same time.

... So here is a word of warning: If you want to remain comfortable, do not let Jesus ask you questions. If you take these questions seriously, you will become just like those whom we hear about in the Gospels, whose commonplace ways of thinking were overturned. His questions reveal the hidden secrets of people's hearts and reset the cozy encounter they thought they would have with him.

... His questions provoke an examination of conscience and demand a greater openness to his divine mission. No one is on secure ground when Jesus starts asking questions."
