Now Accepting Funding Proposals!

In June 2019, the Foundation for Tacoma Students announced a one-time investment by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to deepen the capacity and capability of the Graduate Tacoma community-wide movement. Today, we are thrilled to share the next phase of this investment. We are now accepting proposals to fund your organization in one of three areas: Community Partner Capacity & Capability; Data Capacity & Capability; or Postsecondary Access & Completion. Honoring our shared learning agenda, we are calling this initiative the Graduate Tacoma Community Learning Fund.

Shared Learning Agenda Through the Graduate Tacoma Community Learning Fund, we aim to accelerate our progress towards closing racial and economic disparities for Tacoma’s future generations. To do this, we are committed to two learnings: We will increase our understanding of the various types of equity impacting young people in Tacoma. We will increase our understanding of the ways in which practices, policies and behaviors influence systems change.
