80,174 Services Provided in Lake County

When you give to United Way Lake County, you create real, measurable impact right here in our community. Together with our agency partners, we are proud to share that your support provided 80,174 services during our 2024–2025 fiscal year—touching the lives of children, families, and neighbors in need.

Youth Opportunity

Your generosity helped 28,476 children access books, provided 1,408 early assessments and interventions, and connected 8,898 youth to mentors, enrichment activities, and arts therapy programs. In addition, 286 students received backpacks filled with school supplies, and thousands of articles of clothing went to children who needed them most.

Financial Security

Thanks to you, 884 homeless services were provided (shelter and care), 331 households accessed free tax assistance, and families gained vital housing and acclimation support.

Healthy Community

Because of your gift, neighbors received 6,832 urgent basic needs services and 2,018 medical, dental, and case management services. Survivors of domestic violence and assault found refuge and care, while 5,075 mental health counseling and support services were provided. Your donation also helped provide 2,022 cans of formula for babies and more than $120,000 worth of food for those facing hunger.

Community Resiliency

Together, we strengthened our community with 22,801 health and human service referrals, nearly 2,500 volunteer hours, and life-saving Code Blue and Heat Index Alerts.

2025 Workplace Campaign: Can We Count You In?

One big way to give back is by running a workplace campaign in support of our mission. We start each year with a zero balance and rely on the kindness of our local community to help us help others. Year-Round Food Pantry: Food Needed to Help Stock Our Shelves for the Holiday

We accept food donations year-round to fill our food pantry, which serves 38 local food banks, and we are preparing for holiday needs now. If you can donate food or run a food drive, please contact David Whittaker at dwhittaker@uwlc.org or call 440-639-1203.
