You are receiving this email as a follow up to the email sent on December 31, 2020 regarding 1099G tax documents being issued by the Department. Please review the information below to better understand how this may impact your tax filings.

Important Information Regarding Your UI Tax Forms

If you filed a claim and received unemployment benefits for at least one week during the calendar year 2020 (Programs include*: Regular UI, PEUC, EB, FPUC, PUA, LWA, VSTS, $1,200 Dollar Treasury Advance):

  • You will receive a 1099G tax form via USPS. You should receive this no later than January 31, 2021.

  • You may receive multiple 1099G documents if you received benefits from more than one program.

  • If you received unemployment benefit payments and do not receive a 1099G, please email the UI Claimant Assistance Center at [email protected] to have the document reissued.

If you filed a claim but were found ineligible or did not receive any unemployment insurance benefit payments during the calendar year 2020:

  • Please disregard this email. If your claim is currently under review or in the appeals process, your unemployment insurance benefit payments will be reflected in the 1099G form you receive next year.

If you did not file a claim to receive unemployment insurance benefits during the calendar year 2020 but receive a 1099G in the mail:

  • Please contact our UI Fraud Unit at 802-828-4104 to investigate if an unemployment insurance claim was opened by someone else using your information.
