CMC Reopening for timed visits this May!

The Children's Museum of Cleveland will be reopening to the general public this May! In surveying the families that we serve, we have gained insight into the wide range of needs and preferences that families have for in-person experiences during the COVID-19 pandemic. As a reflection of this feedback, we will be reopening on a hybrid model to provide both multi-group and private opportunities to visit the Museum so that families of all comfort levels can safely visit. Memberships will be turned back on beginning May 1st, and will be available for use to book timed tickets, and to use for discounts on guided rentals and in our gift shop.

CMC will be open to the general public for limited attendance sessions Mondays, Tuesdays, Saturdays and Sundays. Families can visit for timed sessions of 2 hours, with the total attendance per session limited to 40 total guests. The Museum's exhibits will be shared amongst all families at this time.

CMC will be open for guided rentals ONLY on Wednesdays and Fridays. There will also be guided rental sessions available outside of our general operating hours on Mondays, Tuesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Guided rentals offer families the opportunity to experience the Museum's exhibits without other groups present.
Clean & Safe Protocol
Face Masks:
Face masks covering the nose and mouth are required for all guests ages 3 and up during your visit. There are no exceptions to this rule during standard operating hours. We offer monthly Mask Intolerant sessions for guests who are unable to tolerate mask wearing.

Please Note: Vaccinated individuals will still be required to wear a mask during their visit. Guests that are not complying with this policy will be asked to leave the Museum.

Limited Attendance:
CMC will maintain limited attendance to allow for social distancing.

Cleaning & Disinfecting:
We will continue to clean and disinfect surfaces and props throughout the day to keep our spaces clean and safe.

Eating & Drinking:
We understand that young children can need a snack to refuel during play time. At this time, we have limited space available to eat at the Museum to accommodate quick snacks. We encourage families to plan to have their meals at home or on our front lawn for the time being!
