Dear Families and Faculty,

It is so important that we continue to communicate in this stressful time. I understand that all of us want to have as much clarity as possible about our plans for the closing of the Newgrange and Laurel Schools.

This afternoon, Governor Murphy gave a press briefing about COVID-19 in New Jersey. He indicated that it is inevitable that all schools will close in efforts to contain the virus. All indications are that the Governor will announce a statewide closure of both public and private schools by tomorrow. That said, families should be prepared by Tuesday for a school closure for an extended period of time.

Please reference the links below. There will be a continuing update of school closures on the Department of Education website beginning today.

As we move forward, we will continue to communicate with our families, via email, regarding updates to our distance learning plans. Please read your emails daily to ensure that you have current information from your child’s teachers and from our administration.

At this time, despite the fact that we are unsure about the amount of time our schools will be closed, we have a good plan for continuing long distance learning and our teachers are prepared to provide the best possible lessons for your children in the coming days.
