Dear Georgia Psychological Association (GPA) Members,
Following the latest advice from Governor Kemp, GPA will be suspending public meetings and continuing education events for at least the next three weeks. The situation is rapidly developing, and we will be providing updates via email and our website as it becomes available.
The Continuing Education Workshops scheduled for the following dates are cancelled and attendees will be given a full refund. We will seek to reschedule these events at later dates.

Over the last two weeks, GPA leadership has been in continuous communication on how best to protect our members' and staff's health, sustain the organization and its advocacy for psychologists and psychology in Georgia, ensure the public has access to licensed psychologists, and provide needed psychological information to the public.
Specifically, in relation to continuing education and the Annual Meeting we have been:
- Communicating with Board of Examiners regarding the possibility of allowing more continuing education hours to be allowed via online platforms and sending a formal letter to this effect. At this time, Georgia Rules only allow for a limited number online continuing education under Area V – Self Instructional Activity.
- Researching multiple alternatives for providing the continuing education and Annual Meeting content, including both technological opportunities and rescheduling of events. We will make a final decision about holding Annual Meeting in person on or before March 28th.
These are very challenging and stressful times for all of us, individually, and of course, for our clients, students, colleagues, and supervisees. Please remember to care for yourselves.
GPA Leadership and staff are working together to respond to this crisis, and we appreciate your support. We will continue to be in contact as we support one another and the community during the challenging time.
