Dear agents,

We would like to share with you some updates about our new partnership with CVS Caremark. This alliance will provide our members access to over 65,000 pharmacies all over the United States and helps to lower the cost of medications. These benefits also include the option to have medications delivered directly to their home at no additional cost (available only in the U.S.).

The partnership includes, among other pharmacies, CVS, Walgreens, Publix, Costco, and Walmart.

Please find additional details below:

• Since the Optum RX partnership was discontinued on May 1, 2023, the CVS Caremark ID must be presented at the participating pharmacies.
• Member ID cards have been updated and are available in the Agent/Member Portal. Members can also download the card directly from the Caremark application. 
• The discount is available only with a valid prescription from a U.S. physician.
• Once a member utilizes their identification card at one of the pharmacies, they should submit the documentation to us for reimbursement.
• For direct payment coordination on high-cost medications, members should follow the current precertification/ coordination process by contacting our Precert department at precert@bestdoctorsinsurance.com. For a detailed view of the process, please click here.

New prescriptions?

The member’s doctor can:

• e-prescribe to a CVS Specialty
• Call our Care Team at 1-800-237-2767 (TTY: 711), Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 7:30 pm (local time)
• Fax the prescription to 1-800-323-2445

To access the digital member ID card, the member can follow these simple steps:

1. Log into Caremark.com
2. Click on Plan & Benefits in the navigation bar at the top of the page
3. Choose Print Member ID Card from the drop-down menu
4. Finish by clicking on the red Print an ID Card button

For greater access, members can download the Caremark application to help manage the prescription benefits. The mobile application offers members a simple way to view their ID cards, obtain easy refills, fill new prescriptions, locate pharmacies, and manage their profiles.
