WEATHER ADVISORIES

The Office of Emergency Management has sent out multiple Weather Advisory Warnings as there may be another round of sever weather this afternoon and evening:

As many are aware, the Wal-Mart on Doty Road had a power outage yesterday due to the storm and is expected to Re-Open at 3 PM today.

The 9th Ward Office is continuing to experience a power outage and the 9th Ward Service Office at 34 E 112th Pl will continue to be closed. We will be answering calls, voicemails, and emails to the best of our abilities as we continue to work with Department of Streets & Sanitation (Bureau of Forestry) to address blocked streets and sidewalks, and other storm-related emergencies. At this time, DSS has received over 5,000 service requests for storm-related emergencies and crews have been deployed citywide to relieve emergencies as quickly and safely as possible.

WHAT YOU CAN DO:

  • For urgent City Service Requests, please contact 311 or use the CHI311 App or Website
  • For emergencies please call 911

Please continue to report: downed trees, downed limbs, powerlines, traffic lights out, and flooding. Doing so helps City Departments track, prioritize, and respond to requests as efficiently as possible.

ComEd crews are working around the clock to get power restored to impacted residents. If your service has been disrupted or powerlines have been impacted, please report the issue to ComEd immediately using one of the following options.

  • On their website
  • Via the ComEd Mobile App
  • Via text message by texting 'ADD OUTAGE' to 26633
  • Via phone, by calling 1-800-334-7661

We appreciate your patience and will provide updates as they become available.

Please call the Office at 773-785-1100 or email at Ward09@cityofchicago.org.
